Servicios de la Raza

Denver, CO

Servicios de la Raza, a vibrant organization serving the needs of the Hispanic community in the Denver Metropolitan Area, was running out of space, and the abo co-op found a facility that was centrally located, close to light rail, and near the intersection of two arterial streets that ran north/south and east/west through Denver. Ron Abo, principal architect of the abo co-op, interviewed the twelve program directors to determine their needs and then held programming and design charrettes to understand the mission and operations of Servicios delas Raza. The abo co-op designed a neighborhood facility to reflect the mission of the organization and provide the space to carry out services in a professional and dignified manner.
