National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) first commissioned the abo co-op to create a 10-Year Campus Master Plan. Years later, the abo co-op was commissioned to update the original 10-year plan and to develop a new 25-year Ultimate Build-Out Master Plan for the South Table Mountain Campus. The Campus, when built out using the master plan as its guide, is designed to be net zero, consistent with NREL’s values. The Master Plan led to funding the construction of a consolidated parking facility, a circulatory campus transportation system, a LEED Platinum Office Building, and a LEED Platinum Energy Systems Integration Facility, among other significant projects throughout the campus.
