The Curtis Park redevelopment brought new life to one of Denver’s oldest neighborhoods. The eight blocks of HUD-compliant new housing provided affordable market-rate rental properties and affordable home ownership opportunities within the historic Curtis Park neighborhood. The new units reflect the character of the neighborhood with a nod to Victorian aesthetics through scale, material selections, and detail, enhancing the historic fabric of the community. The abo co-op headed the design that earned the 2002 Congress of New Urbanism National Award of Merit.
